OVERVIEW
Glenrock is pleased to offer biblical counseling as a ministry of our church. In today’s society many people are turning to extra-biblical resources to try to understand their struggles. The clear model that we have in the Bible is for Christians to be discipled into the image of Christ. We hope to provide an avenue for biblical teaching and gospel-centered care so that you will not merely find relief but find increasing Christ-likeness in the midst of whatever you are working through. Counselors:
Alyssa Hooper
Alyssa is a resident of Fort Mill and member of Glenrock Baptist Church. She enjoys spending time with her husband, reading both fiction and non-fiction books, and participating in Bible Study Fellowship. Alyssa is currently completing the final phase of certification through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC). Biblical counseling has been part of her life for a long time; her father is a biblical counselor, so she had the opportunity to see firsthand how God’s Word brings hope, wisdom, and direction to people facing difficult circumstances. She is passionate about helping people see that theology isn’t just something they believe—it’s something they live. God’s truth is practical, relevant, and sufficient for the challenges they face every day, and she believes it’s a privilege to walk alongside others as they grow in Christ.
Alan Patrick
Alan is a native of Rock Hill, SC and the Senior Pastor of Glenrock Baptist Church. Alan earned a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and an M.Div. at SEBTS as well. Alan’s desire is help others experience the freedom of the gospel and the joy of obedience to Christ.
