Glenrock Baptist Church

Alan is a native of Rock Hill, SC. He came to faith in High School and began pursuing ministry in college. Alan earned a B.A. in Pastoral Ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently working on his M.Div. at SEBTS as well. Alan’s desire is help others experience the freedom of the gospel and the joy of obedience to Christ. Alan and his wife, Hailey (who is way out of his league), met at Winthrop University.

Monty Johnston

Music Director

Monty has served as the Music Director at Glenrock for nearly 15 years! Monty is a musician’s musician. He grew up in a musical household and taught himself to play various instruments. Before coming to Glenrock, Monty served several churches in the CLT area. Monty works full time at Riverwalk Academy.

Monty is happily married to His wife, Jamie, is the father of two adult daughters, Morgan and Macie, and recently a grandfather to Phoebe. They also have a wiener dog named, Chase!
